Speaker: Robert Chen – Managing Partner of Raffles Capital

Founded the Raffles Capital in 1991. Previously was Managing Director at Sound View Technology Group Inc(now part of Wit Capital Group Inc), Senior Vice President at Dean Witter Reynolds Inc-Merger & Acquisition Group, and Vice President at Bank of America-Merger & Acquisition Group. Former Director, Board of Commissioners of Currency, Republic of Singapore. Past member of Western Association of Venture Capitalists. Current member of Association of Corporate Growth, and Connecticut Venture Group. BBA and MBA from University of Michigan. Robert Chen is an investment banker with 26 years of experience in investment banking. In 1991, Robert founded Raffles Capital Group Inc., a merger, acquisition, and corporate financial advisory firm that advise technology and financial service companies.

Mark Chen brings fifteen years of comprehensive experience in venture investment and hands-on operations management. Since the formation of Easton Hunt Capital Partners, he has been leading Easton’s investment focus in Technology, with additional involvement in Easton’s investments in Life Sciences and Traditional Business. Prior to joining Easton Capital in 1998, he held numerous executive and operation positions. He was a founder of SureData, a computer subsystem products marketing company. Previously, he was a manager responsible for development and market launch of advanced materials product lines of Cincinnati Milacron Company, a leading global industrial consumables company. Mark holds an MBA with distinction from Columbia Business School, an MS in Materials Science & Engineering from Pennsylvania State University, and a BS in Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Mark currently serves on the Board of Sonics, and is a Board observer of Luminous, OptiX, TransMolecular and EXIMIAS.

Professor Delson is both a scholar and a practitioner on import/export business. He's been involved in Sino-US import/export trade for more than 20 years, and he teaches a course on 'how to start and run your import/export business' at NYU. Whether you are interested in US-China trade in general, or in an entrepreneurial venture in particular, This seminar should be of interest to you as Prof. Delson will not only discuss the big picture issues related to Sino-US trade, but also give practical advice to prospective entrepreneurs.
